Why Pain Isn't Always Where the Problem Starts
A presentation from Orange Rose Wellness
Most of us naturally assume that if something hurts, that's where the problem must be.
But the body doesn't always work that way.
Muscles and fascia connect and influence movement throughout the body. Tension or restriction in one area can sometimes affect the way another area moves or feels. This can help explain why simply concentrating on the place that hurts doesn't always tell the whole story.
Why Pain Isn't Always Where the Problem Starts is an informal presentation exploring some of these connections and looking at the body from a slightly different perspective.
Using everyday examples, illustrations and straightforward explanations, we'll look at fascia, muscular tension and movement, and how something happening in one part of the body can sometimes be felt somewhere quite different.
No medical knowledge is needed. Questions are welcome throughout, and there is plenty of time for discussion.
Who is it for?
The presentation is open to anyone with an interest in understanding more about how the body works.
It can be arranged for community and social groups, wellbeing organisations, practitioners, medical practitioners or other interested organisations.
You don't need to belong to a group. If you're interested as an individual, let me know. When there is enough local interest, I can arrange a presentation at a suitable venue in or around Borehamwood.
